Lillie’s library sets the scene for singing sensation Sinead Madden
Vivacious folk singer Sinead Madden has bravely ventured into new music territory, so where else to showcase her new genre of melodies than at Dublin’s celebrity venue, Lillie’s Bordello. In an exclusive invite only event, the former Clannad star will serenade Ireland’s VIP’s and other lucky guests with songs from her debut album Honey Promises on Friday the 14th of August. If Sinead’s new vocals are as enticing as her fiddle playing skills, her audience in Lillie’s are in for a real treat.
The setting for Sinead’s performance was a personal choice by the singing sensation, in the intimacy of Lillie’s library. It is an apt stage for the Dublin singer/songwriter as the Victorian style library has a longstanding reputation for both impromptu and planned live music sessions. From pop bands like Westlife to solo acts like Shane McGowan, many have showcased their talents in this VIP section. And singing or not, Bono and his U2 bandmates are firm favourites of the Library. With the famous piano being a main feature of the library, it has lured many stars to tinkle its keys, often leading to an all night singsong.
Sinead’s soulfulness is sure to get the crowd going in Lillie’s Library on Friday night if her hearty debut in the Academy is anything to go by. Her vocals have been compared to the warmth of Jewel and the elegance of Sarah Mclachlan. With a superb talent and wonderful setting, it has all the makings of one fine evening in Lillie’s for the select number of guests invited.

Sinead Madden appeared recently at Dublin’s well renowned singer-songwriter night The Ruby Sessions. Famous for its versatility and prestige, Sinead, joined by Canadian Amelia Curran, American Butch Ross and English singer songwriter Kev Fox brought a unique mix of country/folk/pop and heart felt music to and audience of devoted listeners.
Other Irish artists to grace the stage in this unique setting include Oscar winner Glen Hansard, world famous Damien Rice, Paul Brady, Jack L, Luan Parle, Liam O’Maonlai, to name but a few.
